Wow Braids is a pioneering company in the fast-beauty industry, specializing in the production and sale of high-quality braided wigs and hair extensions. With a commitment to empowering women and fostering sustainable employment opportunities, Wow Braids is launching a women empowerment project aimed at training and uplifting female artisans in Nigeria. We are seeking a dedicated Training, Monitoring, and Evaluation Supervisor to lead the successful implementation and continuous improvement of this impactful project.

Job Summary:

The Training, Monitoring, and Evaluation Supervisor will be responsible for designing, implementing, and refining the training programs for our artisans. This role encompasses overseeing the training curriculum, monitoring the progress of participants, evaluating the effectiveness of the training and empowerment initiatives, and providing strategic insights to ensure the project meets its objectives of enhancing the skills, productivity, and livelihoods of women artisans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and update training curriculum and materials that align with the project's goals, incorporating best practices in adult learning and skill development.
  • Coordinate and supervise training sessions, ensuring high-quality delivery and participant engagement.
  • Implement monitoring systems to track the attendance, participation, and progress of trainees.
  • Design and conduct evaluations to assess the impact of the training programs on participants' skill enhancement, income generation, and empowerment.
  • Analyze data from monitoring and evaluation activities to identify trends, successes, and areas for improvement.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive reports on training outcomes, impact assessments, and recommendations for future program enhancements.
  • Work closely with the project management team to align training activities with overall project goals and timelines.
  • Establish and maintain partnerships with implementation partners, local communities, educational institutions, and industry stakeholders to support project objectives.
  • Manage and mentor a team of training facilitators and support staff.
  • Ensure compliance with project budgets, timelines, and donor requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Sciences, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field. A Master’s degree is an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in training program development and implementation, preferably within the beauty industry or women empowerment projects.
  • Proven experience in monitoring and evaluation methodologies, with the ability to design tools and strategies for data collection, analysis, and production of reports.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and data analysis software.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, multicultural environment.
  • Fluent in English. Proficiency in local languages is highly desirable.
