We are seeking an enthusiastic and visionary Community Manager to spearhead our Youth Empowerment Project and manage our expansive network of over 1500 female artisans.

Job Summary:

The Community Manager will be a pivotal figure in nurturing and expanding our artisan community, with a special focus on engaging youth. This role involves designing and implementing initiatives that attract and retain young talent, fostering a culture of excellence, care, and brand loyalty. You will be responsible for creating a vibrant community atmosphere through recognition programs, wellbeing initiatives, specialized training, and youth advisory councils. Your leadership will ensure the sustainable growth of our community and reinforce Wow Braids' position as a socially responsible and empowering brand.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain a comprehensive youth database to effectively target and track the developmental journey of young community members.
• Develop and execute a comprehensive youth attraction and retention strategy, incorporating culture-building activities, recognition, and bonus systems.
• Plan and oversee community events, such as monthly socials, family days, and photoshoots, to foster a sense of belonging and brand affiliation.
• Implement policies and procedures that support community wellbeing, including employee assistance, development programs, and quality assurance.
• Establish and manage a Youth Advisory Council to gather feedback, innovate on welfare and job satisfaction, and integrate new ideas into community activities.
• Partner with educational institutions to promote arts and crafts clubs, ensuring a pipeline of young talent and community sustainability.
• Design and conduct specialized training programs in leadership, communication, IT skills, and diversity to enhance community members' professional growth.
• Serve as the primary liaison between Wow Braids and the artisan community, ensuring a consistent and positive brand experience.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in community management, social work, or youth development are a plus.
• Proven experience in community management, youth engagement, or related roles, ideally within a socially impactful organization.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and mobilize diverse groups.
• Excellent organizational and event planning abilities.
• Competency in data management and analysis, with experience in managing databases and monitoring program effectiveness.
• Proficient in digital communication tools and social media platforms.
• Innovative thinker with a passion for social empowerment and community development.
• Fluent in English, with proficiency in local languages highly desirable.
