About the Accountant and Inventory Controller Position

We are looking for an experienced accountant and inventory controller to be responsible for the preparation, computing, managing, researching and analyzing of company's accounting data. Candidates for this role will be required perform regular inventory audits and analyses, and forecast the supply and demand requirements to ensure consistent stock levels.

Responsibilities include:

Accounting

  • Evaluate and maintain accuracy of general ledger
  • Reconcile all accounts within timeframe and prepare all monthly bank statements
  • Oversee all payroll, accounts payable and receivable functions
  • Manage payments to suppliers and vendors ensuring that they are captured and processed in a timely manner
  • Monitor all petty cash for plant and manage everyday disbursements
  • Identify all appropriate systems and procedures to maintain efficiency of all financial information
  • Recommend strategies to Head of Operations and maintain knowledge on all current trends and provide training to all accounting and benefit regulations.
  • Liaise with Head of Operations and Product managers to develop resource plans for new product lines

Inventory control

  • Developing and implementing inventory control systems and practices
  •  Forecasting supply and demand requirements to ensure stock availability
  • Create weekly production orders for each product based on forecasts and inventory levels
  • Tracking inbound and outbound orders to prevent overstocking and Out of Stock
  • Analyzing and reviewing supply chain data to identify and resolve issues
  • Generating purchase and pricing reports, supply chain analysis, and inventory management systems
  • Performing regular stock checks and reporting any issues to the supervisor.
  • Maintaining and updating records of purchase orders, pricing reports, and inventory records.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, or similar preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in retail, warehousing, logistics, ecommerce, consumer goods, or similar industry
  • Excellent knowledge of inventory management software
  •  Exceptional understanding of inventory management practices 
  •  Good analytical and logistical thinking abilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional collaboration and negotiation abilities.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
